The sporty Volkswagen R32, which earned the "Drivers wanted" car ever, features a powerfully 3.2-liter version of the famous VR6 engine. The VR6's powerful output is due to its unique narrow angle V design. All this volume fits under a single aluminum alloy cylinder head. On the outside, the VW R32 comes with true dual exhaust pipes, newly designed bumpers, front one acting as a spoiler, large honeycomb ventilation grill in the lower front apron, darkened taillights, rear spoiler, side skirts and model specific badging on the front grille and left rear.
Its interior reveals high performance sport seats, alloy pedals, leather shift knob, instrument cluster, three-spoke leather steering wheel, doorsills and floor mats. Chrome surrounds the instrumentation, with the pivot heads of the needles matching. Alloy touches are used at nearly every visible or usable niche, including the side footrest, center console trim, interior door handles, doorsills, and even the handbrake button. The rear seats fold flat and allow for a 60/40 split.
Standard items include automatic climate control (Climatronic™), heated front seats and washer nozzles, premium CD stereo with eight speakers, Monsoon® Sound System, power one-touch up and down windows, power glass sunroof, heated electrically adjustable side mirrors, antitheft alarm, radio remote control locking, cruise control, trip computer, and rain sensor wipers.
The R32's 4MOTION system is a key new feature that adds to its ability to handle varying road conditions. It has Volkswagen's unique electronically controlled Haldex coupling in the rear axle differential. 4MOTION uses hydraulic and electronics to detect grip conditions, power train forces and then determine whether power should go to the front or rear wheels.
4MOTION facilitates handling and acceleration in slippery conditions to control the car's power by helping manage wheel traction and thereby reducing sudden steering jerks, even when spurts of power are applied. Electronic Stabilization Program (ESP) and Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR) overlay this sophisticated system. Safety features include equipped with an advanced side-impact safety system called Side Curtain Protection™, an airbag supplemental restraint system to protect heads and upper torsos from injury. Side Curtain Protection deploys a protective curtain of air from the important A-pillar to C-pillar areas to provide occupant protection on all side windows.
VW R32 also offers front and side airbag supplemental restraints; front integrated head rests and three-point safety belts in all seating positions, with front seatbelt pre-tensioners and shoulder height adjustment; and the LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children) system in the rear outboard seating positions for installation of child seats.

Ford Explorer Sport Trac and Ford Auto R
"With the addition of a number of new competitive offerings, the sport utility truck segment is red hot, and it's time for the original to raise the bar again for everyone else to try to follow," said Chris Feuell, Ford Motor Company SUV group marketing manager. "This concept magnifies all of the aspects of Sport Trac that customers already love and introduces some street- savvy cues."
The Explorer Sport Trac is the first sport utility vehicle with the versatility of four full doors, a roomy feature-filled interior and a pickup truck's cargo box. Today's Explorer Sport Trac is the only vehicle in its segment to offer a durable color-coordinated cargo box and an available swing-over tubular bed extender that dramatically increases its capability to haul oversized cargo. The Explorer Sport Trac concept's interior is larger and the cargo bed is about 30 percent bigger than today's model for increased cargo capacity.
Ford's exclusive Roll Stability Control™ technology features roll-rate sensing and correcting capability, assisting the driver in maintaining vehicle control during extreme maneuvers. If the system detects the possibility of a rollover, within milliseconds, it automatically engages counter measures to help the driver maintain maximum control and further reduce the risk of rollover.
A micro-machined gyroscopic sensor determines the vehicle's body roll angle and roll rate. This information, along with Ford-developed algorithms embedded in advanced software is used with other vehicle sensors' inertial information on yaw rate, lateral and longitudinal accelerations to monitor the vehicles roll stability condition approximately 150 times per second.
Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) delivers another performance enhancement on the Explorer Sport Trac concept – the first IRS application for the Sport Trac series. IRS offers significantly better handling over both smooth and rough surfaces. It absorbs bumps in the road and reduces impact harshness, resulting in improved ride quality.
Ford never stops producing top of the line vehicles with utmost customer satisfaction in mind. Increased cargo capacity, Roll Stability Control, Independent Rear Suspension to name a few is one of the many innovations introduced by Ford to make your vehicle the ultimate driving machine.

Ford Sport Trac Adrenalin Comes Into Foc
The Ford Sport Trac Adrenalin is the world's first high-performance sport-utility truck (SUT). We're looking to take Ford performance to an entirely new market segment with the Sport Trac Adrenalin," says Steve Lyons, vice president, Ford Motor Company and president, Ford Division. "Adrenalin is designed to offer a unique combination of performance and functionality.
Adrenalin has combined the best attributes of two breakthrough Ford vehicles - Ford SVT F-150 Lightning and Ford Explorer Sport Trac. It also offers class-leading technologies, including all-wheel drive, a six-speed automatic transmission and Ford's industry-leading AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™. It offers four full-sized doors, four bolstered bucket seats, and a four-foot composite box with 30 percent more cargo capacity than the current Explorer Sport Trac.
"We have a very clear view of what we want to do to retain Ford's leadership in performance vehicles," says Phil Martens group vice president, Product Creation. "This includes looking beyond traditional SVT products for opportunities with unique performance attributes, such as all-wheel-drive." The Sport Trac Adrenalin delivers searing acceleration with its 4.6-liter, 32-valve DOHC V-8 power train. A Roots-type supercharger and water-to-air intercooler boost output to a whopping 390 horsepower and 390 pounds-feet of torque.
It has a six-speed automatic transmission - the first for any SVT vehicle, which has proven capable of heavy-duty use, contributing to the projected 6000-pound towing capacities of the Sport Trac Adrenalin. "In addition to providing sure footing on slick surfaces, there's a performance advantage to all-wheel drive," says Jay O'Connell, SVT chief vehicle engineer. "A longstanding problem with performance trucks was their inability to 'hook up' from a standing start without excessive wheel spin. This AWD system puts power down through all four tires, helping Adrenalin launch with impressive authority."
With a supercharged, 390-horsepower V-8, the first six-speed automatic ever featured in an SVT vehicle and an SVT-tuned fully independent suspension, Adrenalin promises acceleration, agility and utility. Providing an added measure of safety and control during slippery conditions or emergency maneuvers all-wheel-drive system is paired with Ford's industry-exclusive safety system, AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™.
